Since the 1970s, CALSEIA has advanced the common interests of the California solar industry.  Comprised of California solar contractors, manufacturers, distributors, developers, utilities, engineers, consultants and educational organizations, CALSEIA represents a diverse membership committed to growing the California solar market.

CALSEIA’s membership dues support professional staff, including a legislative and regulatory lobbyist, who advocate on members’ behalf at the Legislature, Governor’s Office, and at state and local agencies. CALSEIA provides solar companies located throughout California with a presence at the Capitol in Sacramento, at the CPUC in San Francisco, and at hearings and workshops throughout the state.  CALSEIA is your eyes, ears, and voice at these legislative and regulatory forums.

As a policy-dependent industry, it is imperative that the California solar industry engages politically to fight for, and defend, good solar policy in California.  Your membership is an investment in your business.  Our ability to influence and educate policymakers, California’s utilities, and local building departments depends on the strength of CALSEIA’s membership.
